A Chilly Spring Update

 It was chilly today when we visited the new house. I probably took fewer photos than usual as a result. 

Here is the current view from the driveway:

They made more progress on the siding this week, in spite of the weather. The added trash seems to be an ongoing problem. 

The plumber also got the outside water run. 

I love how sturdy the small eves are.

Inside, we're seeing steady progress as well.   This week, we should get the cabinets ordered. 

Periodically, I see things that I am not sure what it is even though it caught my attention. 

More Progress

Geff and I stopped by the house on our way home this afternoon. As always these days, we noticed progress on several fronts. Here is today's photo from the driveway:

The siders have started on the front, and the garage door now has springs installed. 

The siding is now mostly done on the side.

Inside, the plumbing and heating crews have been busy.

Progress Inside and Out

We stopped by the new house this morning. There has been progress inside and outside. 

I have been forgetting to take a photo from the driveway since they put the roof over the front door. 

From the driveway...

We first walked around the outside to see the progress on the siding.

Once we walked around the house, we went inside. The HVAC team must have been in this past week. 

Floor vents have been cut

We didn't have time to go downstairs, but it is clear that they have been busy down there as well. 

The Siding Is Going Up

 Geff stopped by the new house tonight, and the siding is going up!

Checking Out the Basement

 This past week, the crews were busy again. The plumbing crew was out and pipes roughed in, and they built the stairs down to the basement, among other things. 

The basement feels large, even though it is only a partial basement. This is the current view coming down the stairs.

Then, it was time to check out the rest of the progress. The plumbing pieces were new. The pipe in the bottom of the photo is where the kitchen sink will be. 

I can finally picture where the kitchen island will be.

I forgot to get a good photo of the front porch, but I absolutely love the way it is feeling. This photo shows that the windows above the front windows are now installed. 

And, this will be the siding. 

We Have a Garage Floor!

 Yesterday, Geff had a chance to drop by the house for a moment. We now have a garage floor as well as a floor in the basement. 

It looks so different with the floor poured. While there is a small step into the house, there will actually be a ramp to make it easier. 

The materials for the outside of the house are also arriving. 

And, the front roof lines and entry way are being built.
